Dress Code

Carsyn’s longest friend and the brother he chose. Jayce and Carsyn have traveled together and made countless memories—many of them in the tightest of quarters (if you know, you know). Jayce has also taught Carsyn how to be more handy, a life goal of his, as well as shown him proof you can do anything you want to do. There’s no one else Carsyn would want standing next to him on the biggest day of his life.

Older sister, lifelong protector, and self-proclaimed mama bear, Deanne has been looking out for Blaise for nearly 11 years longer than anyone else. These days, they’re not just sisters, they’re good friends with a bond built on love, laughter, and the occasional sibling payback. (This maid of honor gig is Blaise’s revenge for Blaise's role as candle girl for Deanne's wedding)!


                       If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: her latest travels, her life as a teenage-chauffeur extraordinaire, her love of tequila and wine, or her party superpower- keeping everyone hydrated as the official “water fairy.”

Deanne Funk

Charlie is both Carsyn’s uncle and one of his best friends. Their late-night talks have taught Carsyn that not everything has to be so serious—a lesson he’s still learning. And if you ever find yourself at the Four Seasons, trust them: get the crème brûlée. Carsyn is proud of him and the work he does, including creating Eagle LA, the legendary bar in Los Angeles.

Charlie Matula

Jordan and Blaise, once sworn enemies (mostly on Blaise's end) were destined to be the best of friends after realizing just how similar they were to each other, especially their unladylike manners and wild sense of humor. Jordan has been a rock for Blaise since 7th grade and they both continue to crack up and reminisce on their emo days, scream singing Good Charlotte and Panic at the Disco in the car whenever they're together. 

If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: astrology, progressive and nu metal music, early Adam Sandler films, and her passion working with psych patients at a state hospital!

Jordan Fitzpatrick

Hunter is Carsyn’s uncle and the chef who inspired him to pursue this career. They’ve spent countless nights cooking together… all-night sessions filled with stress that somehow always end up being fun. Carsyn considers Hunter the smartest person he knows, and he’s grateful for those late-night talks and everything Hunter has taught him in the kitchen and in life.

Marian and Blaise met freshman year of high school and didn’t exactly click at first… until they overheard each other’s jokes and realized they had the same twisted sense of humor. Since then, they’ve been each other’s ride-or-die, showing up for every big milestone, bad idea, and “hype girl” moment life throws their way.

If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include:  horror movies, progressive metal, the best food you’ve ever eaten (or want to eat), or let her pitch you a totally random movie you’ve never heard of- but will absolutely thank her for later!

Marian Cisneros

Jax and Carsyn have an inexplicable friendship and bond. Jax shows up for Carsyn full of kindness, love, support, and respect. For those reasons and many more, Carsyn asked Jax to stand by his side on this very special day. Too many memories to count, but every single one matters.

Shelby and Blaise met in 2019 and had no idea they’d end up as each other’s person (and official work wife). A double promotion threw them into a leadership duo, where they learned they had the perfect mix of honesty, trust, and humor to survive anything. Even though they no longer work together, their friendship has only grown stronger- proof that some work wives are for life!

 If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: how many ultramarathons Shelby has completed (thats 100-mile races), EDM music, her big "baby" pup Luna, and her secret love for classic comedy movies (she knows all the best quotes)!

Shelby Thirkill

Claire and Blaise met just over two years ago at work, and although they don't have as long of a history in their relationship, they instantly clicked as friends. Claire and Blaise  share similar and silly humor and connect on their passion for social justice. Claire has supported Blaise with resources and knowledge that ultimately helped her get into grad school. Claire is a solid friend to Blaise, and despite each other's baggage, they love and embrace all of it together!

If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: miniatures of essentially ANYTHING, skin care and nail art, trash reality tv, or how she's saving lives one day at a time working with indigenous folks in recovery!
